In Japan traditionally you have your own chopsticks. And also once you are married you have your own chopsticks and your husband's chopsticks, called "meoto-chawan" means "husband & wife rice bowl". Often they are in red and black colour or smaller and bigger.
Our chopsticks are wakasa-nuri (wakasa lacquerware) made in Wakasa, Fukui.
